Winter Break Camp - The Adventures of Tom Sawyer*

$400

with Maggie Knott

Calendar Dec 30, 2024 at 9 am, runs for 1 week

*Note: Tacoma Youth Theatre's original adaptation of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer welcomes young actors of all genders, races, ethnicities & faith traditions. Our adaptation partly centers around growing up in a small Missouri Town in the 1840s and partly details a murder witnessed by Tom & Huck and the subsequent trial. There is a lot of warm humor in this story, however, I am including a content notification for: on-stage murder, one character experiencing alcoholism, & several scenes involving Christian faith services/sunday school.

Winter Break Camp: Ages 7-15

  • Saturday & Sunday: Public, pay-what-you-can performances at 2pm. Actors arrive at noon for performances

Perfect for both beginning and practiced young actors, this one-week camp nurtures and empowers through the collaborative joy of bringing the story to life on stage. Young actors will each have their own speaking, vital role in the non-musical production and be proud to welcome friends and family to pay-what-you-can performances at the week's end.

Payment plan available: $50 deposit plus 5 payments of $70.00, paid every two weeks.
