Tacoma Youth Theatre welcomes young actors of all genders, races, ethnicities & faith traditions to Tacoma Youth Theatre's original adaptation of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Please know that Tacoma Youth Theatre's adaptation of Twain's 1841 classic is significantly updated to reflect the values of our mission and our diverse community of young actors.

Part of the story details a murder witnessed by Tom & Huck and their decision to stand up publically to defend someone wrongly accused. There is a lot of warm humor, centering on growing up in a small, rural town. However, I am including a content notification for: on-stage murder, and one character experiencing alcoholism.

Typically a good fit for both beginning and practiced young actors, this one-week camp production nurtures and empowers through the collaborative joy of bringing the story to life on stage.
